What a woman! I admire those who can make fruit pies from scratch. You don't mind drop-in guests, do you? ;)
ReplyDeleteYUMMY! I love making peach pie. It's my dad's favorite, so I usually make one with Greenbluff Peaches and keep it in the freezer till he visits. But since yours is ready, don't be surprised if you find me at your door step!!
ReplyDeleteYum! And since I live across the street, I think I get first dibs, girls!!!
ReplyDeleteHa, that cracks me up - a little wax never hurt anyone, right?
ReplyDeleteDid I mention Craig promptly ate it all?! Haha, rain check? :]
ReplyDeleteThis is by far and away the BEST peach pie I have ever eaten. Some recipes are just sweet and slimy-- none of that here! And Bethany, whay don't you tell them that comment you made time before last when the whole thing overflowed BEFORE you got it in to oven HAHAHAHAHA.
ReplyDeleteWell, truth be known I was so SWEATY trying to pinch the top crust closed while the juices oozed out of the too small pie pan, and then shooshing a hand towel in front of the fire alarm as sweet pie filling leaked and BURNED all over the bottom of the oven that I hardly remembered vowing to NEVER make it again until Jane informed you that we were eating the VERY LAST peach pie EVER. Hey, what can I say? I was pregnant at the time. Craig would say I was pretty TAME! ;]
ReplyDeleteHey, LOVE those comments. From: Janie
ReplyDeleteHmmm. .. candles. What were we celebrating?
ReplyDeleteThe Happy Birthday goes to Craig!
ReplyDeleteA man like that, I'd make him a hundred peach pies. :]
I may have to steal that recipe. Peach is Will's absolute favorite pie and I made one last summer, but it was a peach/blackberry pie. It was very good, but I wanted to make a regular peach one too.
ReplyDeleteOh, do ENJOY! Craig's absolute favorite too!
